Saumya Sharma is an IAS officer whose journey of IAS was full of determination where she has started preparing for the UPSC exam in his final year of law where she has a  demanding schedule where she has prepared for UPSC exam for 16 to 17 hours a day and her goals and strong work ethic helped her pass the exam with a good score. 

Saumya Sharma’s efforts paid off when she topped the Civil Service Examination in her first attempt and then her concentrated on the Mains exam while bringing a high fever for it too but refusing to let the health of her dreams bother and her dedication and energy earned her the 9th rank in the UPSC exam and Saumya’s journey teaches us the importance of determination, hard work and using our strengths to achieve our goals such a IAS officer.

Struggle and Challenges During an IAS Preparation

While preparing for the UPSC examination, Saumya Sharma has faced many challenges and struggles with dealing with her health while studying for long hours was a big challenge with the instances where she had to study for 17 to 18 hours to push herself to the limit physically and her rigorous study schedule sometimes took its toll on her health which is causing her fatigue and stress.

Another challenge is balancing Saumya’s academic responsibilities with her UPSC preparations as when she was in her final year of law school and had to participate in classes, complete assignments, and with the spend ample time preparing for civil service exams and it required a systematic care of her time management skills to ensure she covers all important topics and stays on track with her studies.

In addition, the pressure to do well on the test compounded the challenges where the exam is known for its competitive nature and rigorous selection process, which can be tough for the candidates and she had to stay focused, stay motivated and always look ahead to perform in this pressure.
