Born in Wadali, Maharashtra, in 1988, Pranjal Patil is a great example of perseverance and tenacity. Due to retinal detachment, she lost her sight at the age of six. Despite many obstacles, she never gave up. After completing her education at Mumbai’s Kamala Mehta Dadar School for the Blind, Pranjal attended St. Xavier’s College to study political science. Her story serves as an inspiration to many due to her bravery and constant will to overcome her disabilities. The life of Pranjal Patil is a tribute to the strength of the human spirit and tenacity.

She has graduated with a degree in Political Science from St. Mary’s. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and she has completed her Masters degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University and learning Pranjal’s academic excellence, as well as her remarkable journey in the UPSC examination the determination and resilience highlights and serves as an inspiration to countless individuals facing learning challenges.

Pranjal Patil’s journey in the UPSC Civil services exams is a testament to his extraordinary resilience and visually impaired Pranjal faced the challenge of permanently losing his sight at the age of 6 and she has studied for the blind at Kamla Mehta Dadar School in Mumbai and later graduated in Political Science from St Xavier’s College in Mumbai and completed his Masters Degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, followed by M.Phil and Ph.D.

She had patience in her UPSC journey and never trained for the test, relying instead on specialized software that showed books aloud with the flexibility, coupled with her sheer determination, enabled her to crack the UPSC in 2016, securing an all-India rank of 773. The victory was historic, and made her the first blind woman to qualify for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) .

Pranjal Patil’s journey in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams has been marked by her impressive ranking. In his first attempt in 2016, she secured All India Rank 744 and then when she repeated the exam in 2017, making an impressive rank 124 and this huge improvement happened highlighting her determination, perseverance and consistently sought excellence in public civil service .

Pranjal Patil attempted the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam twice as she secured an All India rank of 773 in her first attempt in 2016, becoming the first blind woman to qualify for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) In 2017, her second effort improved significantly, increasing his ranking to 124, showing her tenacity and commitment to goals.
